Spring 2009 Picks

Seriously, spring is my favorite season. Any time of year where I can wear floral dresses and skirts all day long makes me immensely happy. And it's safe to say that I've been extremely entertained picking my favorite looks from these four various designers. Today I was asked what I do after school, and I guess this is it. I don't play sports or anything and TV was shaping out to be my most time consuming hobby. Well, I'm going to be glad to say that I've found a new hobby and it's semi-productive, yo.

p.s. if you want to fully see the epicness of these pictures, I suggest clicking on the collages and enlarging them.

Alexander McQueen Ready-to-Wear 2009
This runway was so creative. It was lined with taxidermy animals of all different species. Only reinforcing the many different species of his looks! I would rank my favorite as the two dresses with the leather corsets. Uber drool-worthy.

Roberto Cavalli Ready-to-Wear Spring 2009
Cavalli has stepped out of the urban jungle and has been transported to a garden tea-party. Seriously, I'm dying looking at these looks! I love the hand painted teapot-esque mini dresses. So glorious! And the use of sheer in this collection is ingenious. If my dean already didn't hate me enough for "breaking" dress-code. I would so rock this!
Lanvin Spring 2009
After seeing Maggie Gyhlynhall at the Golden Globes wear that blue leapord print, I have been intrigued. It is obvious that all of the designers are infusing our culture with a shot of color and happiness that everyone can use. My favorites are the mess of magenta outfit, bejewled beige dress, and that little green number.
Christian Lacroix Spring 2009
Shapes and silhouettes of the 80's are back with a vengence! I've always loved the playfulness of the 80's and I'm glad that I'm going to get to experience it (considering I wasn't alive the first time it came around) My favorite would be the beige dress with the large flower detailing. I would rock that in a minute.

So, in conclusion. I love spring. It was 60 degrees today, a preview of hopefully what's to come.
